PRIVACY AT BIODATA MAKER PH

Privacy Policy

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the BioData Maker PH Android app and the BioData Maker PH website at biodata-maker-ph.asia. BioData Maker PH is developed and operated by Joshua Adrab (“BioData Maker PH,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). For privacy questions, support, or deletion requests, email support@biodata-maker-ph.asia or use our contact form.

Information you provide and create

You may enter profile, contact, education, employment, skills, references, and other resume or bio-data information, and may add a profile photo. You decide what to include. Resume drafts, profile information, imported documents, generated documents, and exports are stored locally on your device unless a feature described below requires transmission. We do not sell this information.

Because resumes can contain sensitive information, avoid adding government identification numbers, financial information, health information, or other details that are not needed for your application.

Document scanning and text recognition

If you choose the scan or import feature, the app accesses only the camera image or document you select and uses text recognition to extract text for your resume. Camera and file access occur only after your action and applicable Android permission. Scans and recognized text remain on your device except when you deliberately use a feature, such as AI generation, that sends selected content to a service described in this policy. You should review recognized text for errors before using it.

Anonymous authentication and backend metadata

The Android app uses Supabase to create an anonymous authentication record without asking for an email address, password, or social login. Supabase may process an anonymous user identifier, authentication token, creation and last-sign-in times, IP address, and technical request logs. We use this backend metadata to secure app requests, prevent abuse, manage feature limits or entitlements, and verify service operation. Your locally stored resume and profile content are not uploaded to Supabase merely because an anonymous session is created.

AI-assisted generation

AI features are optional. When you ask the app to generate, rewrite, summarize, or improve text, the resume details, extracted text, prompt, and instructions needed to complete that request are transmitted securely to our backend and to OpenAI. OpenAI processes the content to return the requested output and may retain API abuse-monitoring data for a limited period under its policies. Do not submit information you do not want processed by an AI provider. Review AI output for accuracy, bias, and suitability before using it.

Advertising and rewarded ads

The Android app uses Google AdMob to display ads, including optional rewarded ads. Google and its partners may process advertising identifiers, IP address, device and app information, approximate location inferred from an IP address, ad interactions, diagnostics, and consent choices to deliver, limit, personalize where permitted, and measure advertising. Where required, the app asks for consent or provides privacy controls.

When you choose to watch a rewarded ad, AdMob and our backend may exchange a transaction or verification identifier, anonymous app-user identifier, reward details, and related technical metadata to verify completion, grant the reward, and prevent fraud. Resume content is not used for rewarded-ad verification.

Analytics and crash reporting

The website uses Google Analytics to understand visits and improve performance. It may process page activity, browser and device information, approximate location, and identifiers. The Android app may include analytics or crash-reporting tools in a future release. If added, they may process app interactions, device and operating-system details, crash traces, performance data, and an installation identifier to diagnose faults and improve the app. We will update this policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration before materially changing that collection. We do not intentionally include resume text in analytics events or crash reports.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, the app may send reminders, export or processing updates, feature notices, and service messages. Android controls notification permission and settings; you can turn notifications off at any time in the app or your device settings. If push notifications are introduced, the notification provider may process a device push token and delivery metadata, and this policy will be updated before that collection begins.

Other website providers

Our website contact form uses Web3Forms to deliver the name, email address, topic, and message you submit, and hCaptcha to prevent abuse. The website may also use Google advertising services when advertising is enabled. These providers process information under their own privacy terms.

Retention and deletion

Local resumes, profile information, scans, and generated documents remain on your device until you delete them in the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Uninstalling may not remove files you exported to another folder or shared with another app; delete those copies separately.

Anonymous authentication and backend metadata are retained only as long as reasonably needed to operate, secure, and audit the service, normally for the life of the anonymous app installation and a limited backup or security period afterward. Ad, analytics, contact-form, and AI providers retain data under their own policies. We may retain limited records longer where required by law, to resolve disputes, or to prevent fraud and abuse.

You can request deletion of the anonymous backend record and other information associated with your app installation through the app's privacy or delete-data control, or externally by emailing support@biodata-maker-ph.asia or submitting a privacy request. Include the anonymous user or installation identifier shown in the app, if available, but do not send a resume or government ID. We may ask for limited information to locate the record and will confirm when the request is completed. Deleting backend data does not delete local or exported files on your device.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls, secret keys kept off the client where appropriate, database authorization rules, and data minimization. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. Protect your device and review documents before sharing them with employers or other parties.

Your choices and rights

You can decline camera, file, and notification permissions; avoid optional AI features; manage advertising consent where available; delete local data; and request deletion or support as described above. Some choices may make the related feature unavailable. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, object to, restrict, or receive a copy of personal data we control. Contact us to exercise those rights.

Children, changes, and contact

BioData Maker PH is intended for job seekers and is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and, where appropriate, an in-app notice. Questions, support requests, and privacy or deletion requests can be sent to Joshua Adrab at support@biodata-maker-ph.asia or through our contact page.
